Greetings ...ciao...bonjour ....

Greetings to one and all. Well, I said I would do this and voila! (haven't figured out how to do accents from my iPad - but I digress ...and that's a wee bit anal - pardon my crudeness ....is that even a word? I wanted to write "crudity" but I am SURE that is not a word ...it makes me think of crudités ....and again, I digress!!! Wow - I haven't even gotten past the first line and already I am waaaaaay off topic ....this should be fun!! Where was I? Oh yes ....saying "hello"!!!Let me try that again!) :-)

Hello all ....welcome to Cancerella's first post. Thanks for clicking the link and if you are still reading this late-night, rambly drivel, I sincerely thank you for humoring (humouring for my Canadian pals) me. :-) So ....here's the deal. I literally just set this up - including a new gmail account - and true to form, I haven't read any of the how to's or added any profile information or pretty photos (oooooh, just WAIT until you see my profile shot!!! Cancerella is going to be one hot, bald, fearless, cancer-fighting, tiara-sporting, leather-clad babe!) or anything beyond ...well ... just setting this up!

I am looking forward to "hanging out" here over the next few months for a couple of reasons; hoping that by sharing the experience of what is going on in my head - literally and figuratively - maybe it will help me and my darling, unbelievably patient hubby (God bless you Drew!!) and you - my beautiful, supportive, incredible friends and family - share in this surreal (and soon-to-be-real experience) and not for sympathy - HELL NO! That is the last thing I want and I mean that with all sincerity; no, I am hoping that by your sharing the experience with me, that knowing you are all out there, buoying me on your cloud of love :-), supporting Drew, laughing at my goofiness (ssshhhh please don't tell anyone - I kind of like an audience! :-) It's true!! AND if I can make people laugh, all the better!!) - that it will help me get through all of this and just reinforce what really matters in this life - what you fine, beautiful people have shown in abundance ...love, compassion, generosity of spirit ....

And on that happy note, signing off for tonight .....more soon. I am pondering a sign-off line for Cancerella ....like a motto, if you will. Suggestions welcome and full credit will be given!! (Natch!)
